The problem is that i can still just detect simple cheats. And not automatically. I get pressured from all sides to ban some players and now that i do it obviously some people are pissed off.

haha i wonder if -stoned- has beated me at my lovely map adm8 using some 'extra-help' aswell -__- because he was whining like "how did you make 20.016 omg !!", and then have set 19.6 while I wasn't at a server. and tbh i don't think it was a miracle... =

and his mysterious friend [gt]glm was there too. I dunno what they were doing. I was with a girlie at her appartments, and decided to check my lovely mDd page. When I saw that FarshMaker has set 19.6, I was like: "Well, whatever, mister i-am-a-good-defrag-player, because a girl in your hands is way better than some 'world record', a computer mouse in one hand, and penis in another tired-of-masturbation hand." =)

you deleted about 500 times 'bicoz' of 15-20 with scripted ground part of promode cj, done before cheat prevention was announced and anyone used whatever they wished
i wished to have cj, equal to my fast offline one, done without delayed df stats stuff (still not fixedxD)
i feel good to be 1st in a row of such guys as:
hunnybunny - physics hax, varmath yawing
khtti - harcore mechanical runs master
Adrian - physics hax, varmath yawing (+skill!)
with 1 script, written in 15 minutes xD

and why w still have 100%? he used physics hack and record/play soft-_-

ye, hk, there's no need to be such a Stalin and delete the whole account forevar if player has skill, and just had fun a few times when cheating question wasn't clear enough.

The server policy was posted at a certain date, hence everything that happened before it is EITHER considered legit OR deserves (deserved) deletion. It's too late now to wipe an entire DB for that.

OK. Let's put all cards on the table.
I got all of my recs deleted a few months ago because of trigger lagging. Since this isn't possible anymore, it's safe to say how i've done it.

One way was to bind a few screenshots to a button and when pressed makes you lag through certain triggers (lovet told me about that one). The other way was to bind "com_maxfps 1" to a button. When pressed it stopped the timer through teleports (m4u told me about that cheat). Usefull for those "yz_test" maps.

Since then i've used only 1 other cheat:
bind button "+left/right;cl_yawspeed x"

That bind gives you a static yaw and is usefull for making long turns or prejumping at a tight spot before the start trigger (can't remember where i know that cheat from).

That's my only experience in the world of cheating. The map i've cheated is lovet-second. And as you guys love to say "No Demo No Proof", here is a demo.

That demo was made by binding a yaw speed of 85 to the first turn and 56 to the second one. You can check that out if you want.

@hk: Delete that time if you want. If you want delete my entire account. Actually i don't care anymore. It's just that... defrag isn't the same anymore. It's not about the skill anymore, it's about the "Rank 1 by any means". That's not what i've started playing defrag for and if it continues to be like that i'm sure many players will stop playing.

There are other players that use that yaw speed script, but aren't listed above.
I have no demos to prove that, but since i was using the same thing, i think i should know how it looks like =).

PS: Wonder what time i would have made if i had more advanced cheats (like hunnybunny or Adrian)...

Doaiena: iirc static yawspeed has never been a problem, its the adaptive speed/angle binds that some people tend to see as unfair.

somewhere during dfwc it was stated that every bind with 2 or more commands is considered a script, so unless you bind to some key only +left/right you cheat

khtti: static yawspeed is the problem because it's PURE MATH and toy can do 100000000 of turns in the same way without any chance for mistake !

having a mousepad with a horizontal measure larger than approx. 2-3x the width of your mouse is cheating!

That's where high sensitivity comes. I have around 3 inches for my mouse and 18 sens.

^7hk has accused me for cheating several times. I'm sure I wouldn't be happy if all my times were deleted because hk thought it looked scripted somewhere, and then if cgaz' program would disprove the scripting a week later, there's wouldn't be any way to get those 287 times back again.

There are maps where the entire top10 used yawspeed, without any attention from you. A large portion of the db would be destroyed if you wiped the entire accounts of everyone who used it or something similar.
You should delete individual times you find to be in breach of the rules (for EVERYONE, not just names chosen from a hat) and leave the rest of the scores intact.

Khtti: Delete the complete list of recs is a punition. To take one by one all recs and take decision is a joke. Please be happy that H-K didn't ban you (IP etc..)

Banning someone for using a function thats been in defrag since forever would be a little American, besides.

I'd not mind losing some of my recs (the correct ones) at all if he was fair about it. If certain others times started disappearing I could have some minimal trust in his analysis. There can be no trust without him accurately listing exactly which times are cheated and why. There are many accounts here filled with times made by the same methods I used, but those times get grandfathered into legitimacy.

We have made no progress, its still a case of real times sharing table space with scripted ones.

i dont play for rank1 only.. most of the time i play fastcap and i logged almost every map in it.. even if its 1/1 or 1/50 or w/e i still login. and after i set a time my goal is to defend it as much as possible

I'm just after equality, waiting for random tips before "investigating" is a pretty shit system even if he isn't capable of more. If you're going to play inquisitor you need to enforce your laws totally and evenly, relying on your citizens to do the job you claim you want done is not going to work.

Its not a case where watching a demo looking looking only for obvious things like turn binds is sufficient, btw, there are things you'll never catch just by idly staring at a run.

Nah, it's just, wesp doesn't use a keyboard he uses his piano, so instead of binding multiple cmds to 1 key, he binds them to several keys and hits his pianokeys with the speed of light :D

Joystick turns should be legal. If you manage to really quickly and flawlessly switch between the joystick and the mouse every turn and still turn it at the right speed, then do so :)

and then what? will we have to develop joystick detection/verification so that we know they're actually using a joystick?

alien will soon argue that you can only use the same keys and fingers to move as his does! (for complete fairness!)...and no doubt that we must also use the same hardware and have the same ping for times to be valid!

Not really but im certainly not gona start calling anyone a cheater. Its not like this is a pick up and play fps, defrag has a pretty big learning curve imo, so its suprising.

Well, I could already beat half the players when I came to 1.32, and it has been a year since. And since I had the mouse control from InstaUnlagged, it has mostly been about learning and getting used to the physics/angles the last ~400 days.
