I cannot watch the demo right now.
What's the problem here?
Is there some kind of server bug?

Neat demo filesize :)

after 32835 ups you literally start moving in opposite direction without changing angle and without stopping, with same speed

ps. the map in demo is dkr-long-bfg

I looked into the demo a bit further.
Code: Select all
 x                   y                  z              x-velocity         y-velocity       z-velocity
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1568281.750000     -3952.872559        52.422604      32372.000000         0.000000      -174.000000
1568540.750000     -3952.872559        51.005005      32372.000000         0.000000      -180.000000
1568799.750000     -3952.872559        49.539406      32782.714844       236.994614      -158.208527
1568799.875000     -3949.080566        46.902538     -32768.000000       237.000000      -171.000000
1568275.625000     -3945.288574        44.067337     -32768.000000       237.000000      -183.000000
1568013.500000     -3943.392578        42.577736     -32768.000000       237.000000      -189.000000

Without looking at the code I'd say it's very likely an unsigned 16 bit integer that is interpreted as signed at some place.
The problem probably ordinates somewhere in the infamous vector snapping function.

I cannot reproduce the bug, though.

I cannot reproduce the bug, though.

the first demo which I recorded was a much bigger so i decided post the second one
but here this bug looks really stable
probably depends from server

Yeah this looks like a 16-bit integer overflow :) congrats on doing that. I don't think this is a server "bug" but rather something in the defrag or quake code?
