There are tools for the job. However I don't know how they are called on windows.

I'm pretty sure one is packed with Defrag, but another common one is Bub's Repacker. I've never used any of them, because it's not difficult to do yourself. Also I don't repack my shit :D

There is a repacker, which comes along with defrag.

quake 3\defrag\misc\tools\WinQ3Repack1.2\WinQ3Repack1.2

I had problems using the repacker. Someone more knowledgeable can explain, but I think it had to do with repacking some of the textures and shaders.

I always wished you could get all the maps already repacked properly. And thanks to Le another black niger you can.

Has anyone had any luck compiling iodine for OS X? I can't seem to get it to work.
