Missing textures

Postby DF///Kov3nant » Apr 7th, '11, 4:47 pm

since i've begun playing defrag again i've been having problems with missing textures. i know i know it means the mapper didn't include the textures and i don't happen to have whatever texture pack they come from. but is there a way to fix this? or do i just need to download loads of maps until i have all the textures?

if its not a hunkmegs problem, then youll just have to download the maps with the other textures.

go to the map page on q3a.ath.cx and it will say what maps have the necessary textures (texture dependencies).
wtf i have a signature?

You can also look it up your self: http://ws.q3df.org/editing/files/texture_list.zip

That's a list of all textures and the PK3s they are in. So if you have a missing texture you can look it up and download the right PK3.

You should use the dependencies the map database( http://ws.q3df.org ) suggests, though.
