DF Aided Runs

Are you really the best?

No, why?

Just make it:
Code: Select all
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
wait 2;
instead of wait 20;

Also, I bet your ups discrepancy happens because grappling hook aiming is slightly inaccurate. Try a lower cl_yawspeed/cl_pitchspeed value, at least in the last frame of the view angle turn. Hope it helps.

Because it takes alot of time writing "wait 2" 10 times every time I want to do something for 20 frames. Having aliases with "wait 2" as root in a separate config would allow me to write "w20" and get the same result as writing "wait 2" 10 times (if the alias system works the same way as in half-life, see bottom of this page http://wiki.sourceruns.org/wiki/Half-Life_Scripts).

I see, yeah i tried setting the pitch/yaw instantly by using very high speed values.

Why not copy-paste?
Sure such a wait table should work, but you need "set" and "vstr" commands I think. And keep in mind that wait 2 is the least granularity in q3 with default defrag physics settings.

Try adjusting the accuracy of aiming with less yaw/pitch speeds first. You should be able to leave those "wait 250" for 1 second delays etc.

I can't not mention this video

UPD: The tr route is astounding!
I guess this is the highest tr-ob I've seen so far.
Who said tr-obs are boring? Check this one.

Done with default game commands only so it's far from perfect. I also had to change speed one frame for the zwob, since I don't know how to use +strafe in scripted runs (or if it's even possible). The resulting zwob is equivalent to that of using +strafe and mouse afaik so it doesen't really matter.

Awesome demo, but the time was recorded by accident. The time should probably be deleted from the db : )
