Now for the new year I have updated the Worldspawn Repaks. Some players might were confused... my repaks are not the same as the ones done by farwmaker.

The paks now include all maps up to 2017-12-31 (ext_kool_pack) and usually I am updating once a month.

I have to mention that the paks only work using idfe (not iodfe), perhaps due to the amount of all shaders.

WHY USE THE REPAKS?
*******************
*no need for ingame downloads anymore... connect and play.
*original mappers .pk3 files often have bugs in the shaders, wrong sound formats and bad image sizes.
*tons of sounds have been corrected, also graphics have been resized and converted in many cases.
*too many single pk3s crash the game.
*shaders are cleaned and optimized.
*the repaks save a lot of disk space.
*repaks only include whats really needed, means no thumbs.db files, no readme files, no screenshots... and a lot more thrash what had been in.


HOW TO INSTALL AND USE

(A) INSTALLATION

(1) you need the DeFRaG mod.
If you don't have it already, download "zzz_defrag_19125.pk3" and put it into your ".../defrag/" folder

(2) delete all other maps pk3 files from your ".../defrag/" folder

(3) simply copy all the pk3 files into your ".../defrag/" folder.
all "bsp_*.pk3" are optional, depending what modes you prefer to play
be sure to get all of the "media_*.pk3", since all modes share the same resources

(B) ADDITIONAL PAKS

*if you want to see the maps levelshots, download "media_levelshots.pk3" and put it into your ".../defrag/" folder
*if you want to play fastcaps maps, download "bsp_fastcap.pk3" and put it into your ".../defrag/" folder
*if you want to play freestyle maps, download "bsp_freestyle.pk3" and put it into your ".../defrag/" folder
*if you want to play team defrag maps, download "bsp_teamrun.pk3" and put it into your ".../defrag/" folder


(C) PLAY THE GAME

*I didnt test every single map yet. Please report any bugs and missing maps.
*Other engines like DFengine and IoDFE crash at startup, perhaps due the
intense count of total shaders...


FAQ
***
(Q) I notice shader bugs, missing textures, did I find a bug?.
(A) could be.. , ensure you deleted every other downloaded map pk3 file from your ".../defrag/" folder.
Also ensure, there are no downloaded maps in the %app_data% folder when using ioDFe for example.
If the problem still exists, please inform me about it, see contact.

(Q) Why the repaks dont have .arena and .defi files?
(A) The menu of DeFRaG cannot handle the amount of maps. The game will crash when browsing too far, so theyre pretty useless.

(Q) How do I find/load a map?
(A) open the console, type "map" and press TAB, autocompletion of mapnames works very good.
