I don't see why a permission would be needed when the demos are publically uploaded. You could just as easily download the demos and watch them with some music in the background.

Also the video is so bad, it puts that snoopy video to shame.
I don't care about visual effects but the music should fit at least a little bit.

Maybe it's just me but I think it's simply good manner to ask before using demos to show them in a video. Like not every player might be happy to be showcased in such a bad quality video. Also, it's pretty lame of the video maker to include a dull multi-rockets trick of himself in a video consisting of otherwise worldclass demos just to be mentioned along with Dex and W3sp in the credits.
