Round 2 map looks all right, has some interesting tricks that I will never be able to pull off, because I suck at strafe maps (and by that I mean - I'm gonna kick your ass and win this round!) and overall, it's a pleasant ride, even for some strafe inept like myself.

round 2 map is so NSW-style for vq3 lol
i don't get its concept for cpm though, every area transition is made to reduce much speed this time unlike most of previous NSW maps where mild slopes and wall tunnels are placed here and there for cpm. i haven't found a way to skip any of those brakes and there seems to be none.

Map 3. Looks really nice, but why does it have to be so annoying for vq3? :P

So after the awful awful experience I personally have in 02, 03 is a lot more my thing. It's visually coherent with a relatively strong theme, and there are tons and tons of possibilities. It's probably not as smooth as the first two maps, and it's quite a bit shorter, but the first few minutes, trying to figure out what is even going on, were worth it to me.

That being said, I do think there are some missed opportunities here. A bit more player guidance would've been nice (tons of doors, only a couple of them are actually openable), and there are really annoying invisible walls, as well as tons of completely useless items. I like having some flavor items over having a bare map, but it could've been really cool, if some of them would actually open up new possibilities. In my mind, this map got rushed out towards the end, before half of the ideas were implemented.

Still. Really cool though. Looking forward to some crazy routes =)

map 3: gameplay is much more fluent than it looks like. but still i'm done with it already like previous rounds, no motivation at all to do any grinds. looking forward to seeing some great runs.
