It was, kinda. This was in 1.92 at one point. You could replicate if offline by just map_restart'ing instead.

Any news on this? Still annoys me so deeply that I refrain from playing.
Defrag in of itself does not behave this way.. Why alter/override gamebehaviour serverside, without consulting the community?

I discussed this issue with marky. I favor adding clientside gore to simulate the killing. That way you can turn it on and off on the clientside.
