Cant connect to any server.

Hi guys, im very very new to this mod and i wanted to see how other pro players play in servers. Ive mostly played offline for 2 weeks and im not advancing in anything, since i mostly donnu how to do the tricks.

I tried to join servers, even with cl_allowdownload enabled it still gives me a problem where it gets stuck at downlloading a pk3 file named "zzdorov-shio"

I wonder if the servers and the community is dead or im the only one not being able to connect.
And i would take any help you can give a noobie thanks.

cl_allowdownload has to be disabled.
Then try downloading the map (which is currently running on the server) from http://q3a.ath.cx/ and copy it into your baseq3/defrag folder.

yes thanks for help, i finally was able to connect.
It seemed that i was the slowest player in the whole server, and i wonder if there are any guides that helps me pick up speed very fast.
