Word replacement

Because that's what it is. There is a big difference between cheaters, crackers and hackers.
Counter-Strike kiddies invented this because they can't tell the difference, can you?

So you will change every text in the future after your liking? :clap: Maybe you should make a feature like "post-checking by admin first". Then you can correct everything right away.

EDIT: Pls make my quotation right.

We have 3 word replacements to make posts more readable.
    h a x -> cheat
    p l z -> plz(please)
    p p l -> ppl(people)

I think I set this up a year ago. You know, everything has good and bad sides. I think it's for the better but hey, I am known for changing my mind if you reason with me. :think: If people don't want it. I can turn it of in a second.

note:
If people talk to me like "U R SUX @MIN". I'll just ignore them. That's unreadable gibberish. Everyone older than 13 should ignore such posts.
Feel free to follow your urge of defiance. This thread is a free-for-all :lol:

I changed the expression to just insert the replacement word in brackets.

    "h a x" becomes "cheat"
    "p l z" becomes "plz(please)"
    "p p l" becomes "ppl(people)"

"I" don't touch other peoples posts, unless they are offensive. The post still has the original text in it. However, I set up a word filter described above some month ago. The filter replaces words when they are to be displayed. Nobody cared up until now.

i prefer it this way. the only thing i dont really like is "cheat", because its less leetspeak and more of a sarcastic comment (at least, in defrag, it usually is). changing it to cheat isnt cool.
wtf i have a signature?

I found this by accident. I wanted to use "cheat" exactly to have sarcastic comment about how i broke DF Test server. I consider "cheat" as another level word. It wasn't a big problem for me, i just wanted to know why HK put so much(or almost nothing if he use AutoMOD for phpbb3) effort into this small "board feature" :P
