serverlist made easy > sugestion

hi
i have a little sugestion concerning the facilitation of connecting to a server...

this because the ingame server list does not always display all of them, gamesearch app is not without its bugs (it had the nasty habit of killing my keys even outside quake, just by having the app on) and to remember which bind you atributed to which server can be a piece of work

so my sugestion is:

on the serverlist, instead of selecting the adress, rightclick, copy, go ingame write connect, and paste... why not simply click the thumbnail on the serverlist and it would automaticaly copy "/connect serveradress" and then you would just paste it in the console?

i've seen it a couple of years ago though im not sure if it was flash or html

i know, i know... im a lazy bastard :mrgreen:

There's actually a way to have it so you can just click the server in your browser and the link will tell your computer to open quake3.exe and connect to the server ... not sure how it works exactly but I've seen it done.

hotkeys or shortcut links in a dock seems ez enuff ...

just right click and edit the target with your necessary infos
ex. "D:\quake3\dfengine.exe" +exec my.cfg +connect 78.47.229.115:2337"

who cares. in ff define it for firefox in about:config
new -> boolean -> network.protocol-handler.expose.q3a -> set to false
