Hi,

is it possible to enhance view distance in quake ??

in some maps its pretty annoying..
Wanted to make some pics, but on screenshots its not visible.

On some maps, render distance is built into the bsp's worldspawn flags, and can't be fixed without recompiling. If you mean the PVS-style map disappearing thing, where you're looking at another VIS node that shouldn't be rendered due to hints or some such magic, set these:

r_noCull "1"
r_facePlaneCull "0"
r_noVIS "1"

Cheats need to be enabled, so it can't be done online. Unless cheats are enabled.

It doesn't fix every single situation, but I don't really know why the situations that it doesn't fix aren't fixed. They are rare though. You can render the entirety of av-df, rustgrad, and a few other maps I've tested. Some maps can really tank your FPS though.
