Defrag stopped working after new cfg - New computer

So I just got my defrag working and downloaded some configs from the forums and the game just wont start. I think it saved the cfgs i tried to open and saved them. Now it just opens the game and instantly crashes saying "dfengine stopped working".

I'm so crappy with this cfg stuff anyways : D tried to reset the cfgs, but not sure am I even doing it right...

I just wanna play : DD not hussle with the cfgs :'''(

Also I don't remember shit. Last time I touched my cfg like 2-4 years ago : DD hehe

Have you tried running it in XP SP3 compatibility mode?

No I haven't + I dont know what that is.

But it worked ok before I execed that arcaon's cfg. So I think there is some setting now which is crashing it. But I dont know how to reset the settings/cfg, because I can't even find the cfg file where the settings are saved so I could remove it.

yeah, hmmm, can't even find those q3config files anywhere. And it wont generate them, but if I open quake 3 arena it opens just fine??? this is sooo weiirrdd. Fucking windows 8 is so fucked up anyways xDD

trying to instal it with proinstaller, but it doesn't work also. It just stops at connecting... (pak1.pk3) when I try to use it.. : ((( blaah, I always hate this defrag installing process xD always so pain optimizing configs and just getting to play
