Getting Started on Steam

Postby [Yumi] » May 26th, '14, 12:21 pm

Just coming back to defrag after ten years :)
Im gonna have a friend gift me Q3 in a few days via Steam and I thought
in the mean time im gonna learn how to set it up again ( been too long).

I alrdy got the Pro Installer and was wondering if it will work with steam since steam apps are stored in the appdata. Also it is asking for a new directory and maybe some of you can explain if I can just use the same, for I dont know if steam can handle me changing dir. :)

If you are feeling especially generous I would love to get some directions to whatever you feel I should know or do ( I will ofc keep reading this forum) like cguz hud ( if that is still around) or maps and mappacks to help me get started again.

Thanks for your time

Edit: Is it possible to get Defrag on Quake Live ? Or is Open Arena is a viable option ?

it will work fine

you can use pro installer to get new folder with df or just do the following: ( unrevised from like a year ago )
