trying to do the longest yard/dm17 railgun rocket jump

There is a rocket jump that I see quite a bit of.

I have been trying to do it for quite a while but I can't get the speed. I notice in this video he does not do any strafing while airborne, but when I try it without strafing I can't reach the spot in time. I am starting where he starts by the way.

Play the map in vq3.

In freestyle CPM is rarely used.

I really want to play on a few of these awesome freestyle maps but I want my muscle memory to stay on cpm. I'll have to find an excuse to play them with cpm!
