a CPMA question

Postby jaXx » Jul 16th, '12, 6:24 pm

I was on one of the servers and many players were doing some crazy fast runs.
And there was a trick that a player did which i could never do.

He wanted to do a strong turn and he only used [d + mouse movement] , he did not lose any speed and i wonder how that trick is done.

Is there any special way to do it ? ive been trying but for no success :-)

The player probably used a GroundBoost to make the game physic think he is on slicky ground (like ice) then you can turn very fast only using the strafe key(in CPM).

Common ways of doing a GB is by shooting the ground or a wall with plasma or rocket.

You'll probably get more answers if you provide more information. If you ask me, I think your best chance is to find this trick in some defrag video (e.g. on youtube) and refer to it. Then you might get some explanation.
