Generally velocity snapping is alpha and omega of "pro strafe bots". "Normal bots" just use the formula mentioned above without caring of velocity snapping.

Im just curious, what is the purpose of such bots? Do the "smart" people really waste their time to pown some speedrunning games such as defrag, warsowrun, nexrun and who knows what else or is it for "scientific research" and the joy of getting something cool done?

It's also a challenge to see what can be done.

That's why I think it's sad that w3sp quit defrag. I like challanges. For a short time we had a little hide and seek game going on, but he fucked up and replayed the same run twice. What a humble end.

I guess maxing out the engine is one thing, but making it look human can be a massive undertaking and plain boring. That's probably why he quit right when the server demos were introduced.

We need a cheater separate database for cheaters to beat each other without consequences. Unfortunately the team is divided over that topic. :(

i would love to see !topbot

pushing the game to its limits is just as important as pushing yourself to your limit. maybe even more so... seeing what this game is capable of is pretty intriguing.

i love bots as long as they dont log times

I don't think there are many people out there that exceed the standard scripting cheats like mwheel, +left
Most will just use setup's bot and that's about it. It will be pretty boring.
I don't think more than one or two guys are able to patch velocity snapping into dehax.

this would have been better with people like wesp and gaz...

i want more cheaters in defrag XD

A bot-only world cup would be nice. Maybe start with just one challenge map that obviously couldn't be completed legit. There could be some serious potential if maybe more people came out of the woodwork with their hacking. And only if it was kept completely separate from online rankings and offline competitions. At first, I wasn't really interested in the w3sp-think maps, but those maps were moving in the right direction for this kind of material.
