different numbers could be a result of later landing
Upload your testing demos so we can see.

Show the map please =)

Acceleration factor under water is greater than midair, but less than on ground. We can test if you suggest a map with a liquid wall.
You can continue GB on stairs/ramps btw.

gbtest.rar

would be good to know actual timings
i'v just written my numbers from script ;)
no skim demo tho

gotta include that powered tj to some mad run map

it depends on the method of being in water
you can gb anyway, but in the case of completely submerged player no any decent schpeed can be achieved
too high friction
partially submerged state is ok

Yes. Quake3 distinguishes 3 levels of being in water, and water friction works differently at different depths. Ankle-knee deep water is ok for GBs (tested). But when being fully underwater - no way to do a GB (tested, deep water friction is NOT removed after taking damage, as ground friction is). Not sure about mid-level depths, haven't tested yet, didn't read that water code yet =)

Is there any map that has a GB-training room for plasma? Sort of like the first part of noob_gb but with various lenghts ranging from like 700 ups jumps to 1050, or whatever the max circle to GB jump speed is.

Thanks. That one is not CJ to GB though and the last jump was possible to do at ~800ups, which isn't near max speed. I'm looking for something like the strafe hall in 0ups_beta2a but for CJ to GB, with the last jump requiring a perfect GB.
