What is TR? yes I'd totally agree that 1.6 is much better than 1.4 but the texture features in 1.6 are equal to 1.5 and I can't stand it. Patch work is really nice too! But I stick to 1.4 purely because of this as it's quick and easy :) and can't get used to 1.6 lol..

I mean radiant from topic next to this one.
Texture features in 1.6 = simplified surface inspector, relying on undo instead of offsets?

I don't use 1.6 :) but yeah i know its better... I want it so when you use middle mouse button it copies the exact texture and size n everything you select using the middle mouse button. Oh and the texture select window feels weird compared to 1.4. I think that's it tbh, that's all i wouldn't use it for :D

1.6 behaves the same way, as 1.4 does in this part (if i get your statement right); among ~1000 commits there are just a few, touching 'gameplay', this wasn't touched aswell.
Though i didn't mean 1.6, as much improved one, but radiant branch, i am maintaining, which combines best features of 1.4 and 1.5, and new ones;
For random example: m1 selector, auto pk3 maker, face2face seamless texturing; in next release there will be even feature to project texture from face to brushes and curves .o
