Strafe pad spacing

Hey guys

I'm working on my first map in a while, and this time I'm trying to make something very good looking and well thought out, as opposed to my old idon'tgiveashit style of mapping

My question is to do with spacing of strafe pads. I've looked around on teh interwebs and can't find anything that says what distance of spacing is needed for different difficulty. Do you guys just simply keep compiling, testing and experimenting with different distances between pads to see how easy/hard they are, or is there some kind of reference for different difficulty of strafe pads? Seems like a very long winded process is all, although it's not something I'm not willing to do

there is no perfect recipe for strafe pad spacings. For AMT-Freestyle6 (http://ws.q3df.org/map/AMT-Freestyle6/) I used the following distances:

There is a typo at lane lvl07 at the end. It says 320 at the last pad, shouldn't it be 920?
