Map error thing?

Guys, i made a map and added the spawn point, rockets, walls, floors etc etc...
I named the map .Pk3 and added it in my DeFrag folder, now it says it cant find the map, why is that? please tell me what the map needs to be played, this is my first map :P so im kinda stupid at it atm :D

But you did compile your .map into a .bsp file - right?
    - If you just want to test your map, there is no need to make a pk3 - you can just type \devmap yourmap .
    - If you want to release it, you have to create a .pk3 file (it is a compressed archive) where you have several subfolders: maps, scripts, tetures etc. You put your files there accordingly. Open any .pk3 file and check how to put the files there.
