+strafe

Is +strafe still legal to use for zwobs?

What about +strafe in combination with m_side 0 and m_forward x.xx

If you want to get technical it pretty much does to zwobs what +left does to strafing. However, I may be rusty but I can't think of a way to do a zwob without using +strafe. And I don't see anything wrong with tweaking the m_forward and m_side values as long as they aren't updated via scripts etc throughout the run.

Zwobs aren't super common in most runs but I thought I'd ask because +strafe and m_forward is the only thing i have ever used that might be considered cheating here. So what's the opinion on this for both runs and for freestyle.

For as much as I know, using +strafe and m_forward values aren't forbidden if used for zwobbing :)

If someone use +strafe, he must use his mouse to make move of the player. I don't see a problem when somone want to walk with 150 ups speed.

Well this is the direction things seem to be going so I thought I'd ask. It's more for using +strafe in combination with m_forward and m_side though. Not for +strafe on its own.

i actually made a similar post to this a while back. <hk> told me that +strafe is perfectly fine for zwobs. it is by default bound to the alt key. so...

not sure about m_forward and m_side or whatever. never used them. have no idea what they do

Those are just the sensitivity of +strafe. Lower values = slower movement w/ +strafe.
wtf i have a signature?

well yeah, yawspeed and pitchspeed are *just* the sensivities of +strafe, so, you know, I can see his point I think, since dem both are forbidden :)
